MA Summer Reading List 2013
We do not want your child to lose the wonderful reading skills they have developed this school year. Therefore, we are REQUIRING each student going into Second through Sixth Grade to read TWO books during the summer. The following list will give the author of the book, the title, the book level, and the point value. Please use the book level and point guide as a guideline in choosing an appropriate book for your child.
Make sure that your child is prepared to take an Accelerated Reader Test on these books when they return to school or during the scheduled Summer Test Dates (see below).
Also, find the "Book Project" and “Book Report Fun” worksheet link below. Students, that are rising 4th through 6th graders, must complete the Book Project for their REQUIRED book AND and the Book Report Fun for their second book (of their choice) and turn in to their teacher when they return to school for reading grades.
